Eco-friendly, one-component, solvent-free, 100% solids, low VOC light-curable materials replace technologies that contain hazardous ingredients, produce waste, or require higher amounts of energy to process.

Dymax products cure in seconds upon exposure to UV/LED light energy and help improve overall BMS responsiveness and structural reliability in electric vehicles and charging stations. As a result, manufacturers are able to increase productivity and throughput, decrease rework and costs, and improve their bottom line. Light-curable materials include:

  • High-strength LED-curable structural adhesives for fixturing EV battery cells-to-cells and cells-to-cell carriers.

  • Conformal coatings and encapsulants to protect PCBs and critical components in BMS and charging stations from thermal shock and humidity, and corrosive elements like salt and sulfur.

  • Potting compounds to fixture battery cells to the base, that have excellent bond strength to both plastics and metals, and superior resistance to chemicals and thermal shock.

  • Form-in-place gasket seals that can increase productivity while forming barriers to prevent penetration of air, dust, noise, liquids, gaseous substances, or dirt. They are also used for sound and vibration dampening, moisture and chemical protection, and air sealing.
