Dual-Cure 9771 Light/Moisture-Cure
Conformal Coating

Receives NASA MAPTIS Listing Material Number 09841

9771 is now listed in the approved materials NASA MAPTIS database. The importance of this listing is that a NASA-approved 3rd party lab has verified the coating to meet ASTM E595 and allows people looking for low outgassing materials to find the product more easily.

Created for manufacturers involved in the design and manufacturing of missile, space, and space-critical circuit board assembly applications, dual-cure 9771 is a reworkable coating that cures with light and moisture to ensure material that flows underneath components on PCBs fully cures.

This conformal coating meets NASA's low outgassing ASTM E595 and has low ionic content for cleaner PCBs during extreme conditions. 9771 is also certified to meet Mil-Std 883 Method 5011, a standard that no conformal coating chemistry on the market currently meets.

Additionally, the on-demand light-cure capability of 9771 means that PCBs don’t have to flash off, then go through heat cure, so boards are immediately available for the next process step. Other key features include:

  • UL 94 V0 flammability rated and UL 746E recognized
  • Resistance to corrosion, temperature, and humidity
  • Coating thickness to 0.008” (0.20mm)
  • Bright blue fluorescing for high-speed, inline quality inspection
  • Ideal for aerospace and defense and electronic PCB applications
